1. Our Approach to Sustainability

At Azend Technologies, we build software for clients across the globe. We see responsible business as part of how we build software and how we treat our people and partners. Our approach is guided by our ESG Policy and overseen by the Azend Leadership Committee, with an ESG Working Committee leading day-to-day progress

2. Environmental

As a software company, our direct environmental footprint is modest, so we focus on the areas where we can make a real difference. Our engineers measure and continuously improve the efficiency of the digital products we build, which reduces the computing resources they need to run. We monitor extend the working life of our IT equipment wherever we can. Our hybrid working model, giving option for remote working and from our development center based on requirement, cuts down on commuting.

3. Social

Our people are at the centre of what we deliver. We recruit on merit and equal opportunity, and every new team member goes through structured onboarding. Our Fair Employment and Anti-Harassment policies set out how we treat each other and how concerns are raised and handled. We support wellbeing through a regular calendar of team events, and we listen to our people through biannual reviews and HR pulse-checks. Beyond our own team, we support our local community, including through university sponsorships.

4. Governance

We run our business on a foundation of integrity. Our Code of Conduct sets the standard for everyone at Azend, and we take a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption. Employees and partners can raise concerns in confidence through a Whistleblowing Hotline, which includes an anonymous reporting option, and retaliation is not tolerated. We protect client information through non-disclosure agreements with every client, and our data security practices have been reviewed by independent auditors. We are currently working towards ISO 27001 certification. We review AI tools for accuracy, fairness and human oversight before we use them, and we expect our suppliers and partners to share our standards for responsible business.

We set clear objectives across all three areas and review our progress regularly. Our policies are available to clients and auditors on request.
